The preliminary Draft Decission (still not made public) was communicated to Microsoft by the IDPC on April 2023.<br>Microsoft will answer the IDPC and oppose to the basis on what the IDPC cloncludes Linkedin is not complying with the GDPR and to the amount of the fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">After receiving a final decision, in case this decission mantains the fine and the already communicated conclussions Microsoft will consider all legal options and intends to defend itself vigorously in this matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">There is no set timeline as to when the IDPC will issue a final decision, points the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">In 2018, the Irish Data Protection Commission (IDPC) began investigating a complaint against LinkedIn (and other companies) as to whether LinkedIn\u2019s targeted advertising practices violated the recently implemented the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
