Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella announced this morning that the tech giant has hired Open AI cofounders Sam Altman and Greg Brockman along with some of their coleagues \u00abto lead a new advanced AI research team\u00bb.
He adds that at Microsoft they were looking forward \u00ab\u2026to moving quickly to provide them with the resources needed for their success.\u00bb

On latest 17 November Open Ai’s Board announced leadership changes at the company including the dismissal of Sam Altman (CEO of the startup), the appointment of Chief Technology Officer, Mira Murati, as interim CEO and the stepping down of Greg Brockman as President of Open AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also this morning Wired Magazine published an open letter signed by over 50 of Open Ai’s employees saying that they would leave the company unless Altman were reinstated as CEO of Open AI and all the Board members resigned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nadella reffers to Altman and Borckman coleagues among the new hires coming from Open Ai.

Satya Nadella says as well in another tweet: \u00abI\u2019m super excited to have you join as CEO of this new group, Sam, setting a new pace for innovation. We\u2019ve learned a lot over the years about how to give founders and innovators space to build independent identities and cultures within Microsoft, including GitHub, Mojang Studios, and LinkedIn, and I\u2019m looking forward to having you do the same.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nadella also stated on his post on X (former Twitter) published today: \u00abWe remain committed to our partnership with OpenAI and have confidence in our product roadmap, our ability to continue to innovate with everything we announced at Microsoft Ignite, and in continuing to support our customers and partners. We look forward to getting to know Emmett Shear and OAI’s new leadership team and working with them.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
