Given the recent turn in the judicial procedure against JWT’s CEO, Gustavo Martinez, he has resigned in the best interest of J. Walter Thompson by mutual agreement with the company.
\nTamara Ingram, currently Chief Client Team Officer at WPP takes the spot of Martinez as Chief Executive Officer of J. Walter Thompson Company with immediate effect.<\/p>\n

George Rogers succeeds Ingram as WPP\u2019s Chief Client Team Officer with immediate effect, in addition to his\u00a0current duties as WPP\u2019s Global Business Development Director.<\/p>\n

Two well deserved promotions<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2015, Ingram was named WPP\u2019s Chief Client Team Officer, overseeing the Group\u2019s 45 global account teams, representing one-third of the Group\u2019s $20Bn of revenues with over 38,000 employees working on these clients.
\nPrior to that, Ingram was President and Chief Executive Officer of Team P&G, a position she held since 2007. She joined WPP\u2019s wholly-owned data investment division, Kantar, in 2003.<\/p>\n

Ingram brings extensive advertising agency experience to J. Walter Thompson. Following WPP\u2019s acquisition of Grey Global Group in 2005, she joined that agency as Grey UK\u2019s Group Chief Executive Officer. There, she was also global leader on the P&G account. Before that, Ingram served as Chief Executive Officer of McCann Worldgroup in London. She began her career at Saatchi & Saatchi in 1985 as a temp, rising to Chief Executive of the London office, before leaving for McCann Worldgroup.<\/p>\n

Tamara Ingram joined Saatchi & Saatchi in 1985, where she remained for 16 years, becoming CEO in 1995 and Executive Chairman in 1999. Under her leadership, Saatchi & Saatchi became one of the most-awarded advertising agencies, including being named Cannes Agency of the Year.
\nIn 2001 she left Saatchi & Saatchi to join McCann Erickson as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. She then joined Kantar<\/p>\n

Rogers has been instrumental in WPP\u2019s success in parent company pitches since assuming his business development role in 2011. He joined WPP in 2005 when he was named Chief Executive Officer of Team Detroit, one of the Group\u2019s earliest team accounts. He joined WPP from Mullen, where he was Executive Vice President.<\/p>\n

The lawsuit<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Erin Johnson, a long time employee at J Walter Thompson (JWT) filed a suit in the Manhattan federal court accusing Martinez of making \u00aban unending stream of racist and sexist comments\u00bb that made her job as global head of PR for JWT \u00abvirtually impossible.\u00bb<\/p>\n

After an internal investigation the company said earlier this same week that no evidence has been found to prove the allegations made by Johnson in the lawsuit, but
\na DVD that, according to Johnson’s legal team, shows Martinez joking about rape and making racist statements about African Americans at a Miami hotel in 2015 has given a new turn in the procedure.<\/p>\n

Erin Johnson has worked in JWT for over 10 years and had been promoted as well as awarded bonus by the agency multiple times.<\/p>\n
