Twitter announced today two new features for Periscope: search and drone broadcast.

Search by title or topic<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n In the coming weeks, Twitter users will be able to search for Periscope broadcasts by title or topic.<\/p>\n When tapping on the search button in the Global List, the user will see a list of suggested topics to search for, including #Travel, #Music, #Food and more.<\/p>\n To broadcast about a topic and make it able to be found arfterwards, the user just needs tapping the Broadcast button in the topic\u2019s search results to add the relevant hashtag, or else add the hashtag to the title directly.<\/p>\n Twitter is testing two special topics that users can search for.\u00a0In \u201cFirst Scope,\u201d they can welcome new broadcasters to the community. In \u201cGoPros and Drones,\u201d Twitter users can find broadcasts from GoPros and, for the first time, drones.<\/p>\n Automatic broadcast with a bird’s eye<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Anyone with an iPhone and a supported DJI drone will be able to start broadcasting in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n Broadcasting from a supported DJI drone is easy. Users just need connecting their iPhone to their drone\u2019s remote.Twitter will then automatically pull in the drone\u2019s video feed and let the user who is bradcasting switch between this video, the user’s iPhone cameras and even his\/her GoPro. During the broadcast, the broadcaster can narrate from a bird\u2019s eye view using his\/her phone or even Sketch on the broadcast to highlight different sights.<\/p>\n Saving broadcasts beyond 24h<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Last week, Twitter\u00a0introduced a public beta for users giving them the chance to add #save to their broadcasts in order to keep them beyond 24 hours.<\/p>\n Soon, the broadcasts will be automatically saved on Periscope and Twitter with comments and hearts. Should the user change his\/her mind, can still delete the broadcasts at any time in the post-broadcast screen or in his\/her profile.
