Currently CEO of O&M Mexico, Horacio A. Genolet has been appointed as CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Latina. Genolet will take on his new role on 1st January 2017, succeeding Marcos Golfari who leads the network now and will keep on as regional Chairman.<\/p>\n
That of Genolet is the first top-level executive appointment made by Worldwide Chairman and CEO\u00a0John Seifert, who was appointed earlier this same year.
\nSeifert unveiled a new new vision for the agency, branded \u00abOgilvy \u2013 The Next Chapter\u00bb which focuses on integration of offerings to deliver the best solutions for clients most efficiently. The appointment of the new CEO is a first step towards this objective.<\/p>\n
O&M will advances that it will announce the name of Genolet’s successor as CEO Ogilvy&Mather Mexico in early January 2017.<\/p>\n
Working at Ogilvy&Mather since 1993<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Horacio Genolet joined O&M in 1993 in his native\u00a0Argentina\u00a0as an account supervisor. He left after a few years to work at Telecom Group,\u00a0Argentina’s\u00a0largest cellular telephone company and at media company Carat. He rejoined O&M in 2004 and held various positions including VP of Client Services of O&M Mexico, Managing Director of O&M Miami and CCO of O&M Mexico. He was appointed CEO of O&M Mexico in 2011 and led the agency to five consecutive years of successful growth during his tenure. Under his leadership, O&M Mexico has been named the No. 1 agency in the country for the past three years in a row by the publication\u00a0Merca2.0.<\/p>\n Genolet was appointed President of the Executive Board of The Mexican Associations of Advertising Agencies, a consortium of the 120 most important communication agencies in\u00a0Mexico.
