The “mostfun Pro”, the world’s first “Intel Inside” desktop 3D printer, which is the result of a joint collaboration between the Chinese company Chengdu mostfun S&T Co,. Ltd and Intel, is accepting crowdfunding through Kickstarter, world’s leading crowdfunding platform.
Mostfun CEO Lvzhou Chen said: “A good 3D printer should be reliable and easy to use. It should require no manual to go through to get it started and should always deliver steady performance over the long term. This is exactly what we want to bring to you with the ‘mostfun Pro’.”
The funding process started off today 11th August at a $750 minimum price per unit or $15 for a mosfun T-shirt or even $1 for having the baker name in the list of funders on mostfun website.
First shipments of the mostfun Pro are planned in December 2015 and the second ones for February 2016.

Mostfun chose the Intel Edison processor, which allows users to access the control panel by scanning a QR code on their mobile device as well as direct log-in via a browser, in addition to a number of convenient and intelligent functions such as power-off protection and built-in printer memory in a move to offer a “plug and print” experience.
The unit features a brand new extruder, the BAU, which is compatible with a wide range of materials including PLA, ABS, TPU, WAX and HIPS. The extruder has built-in auto-calibration to offer stable and high-precision output.
The user interface is based on HTML5/JS/CSS, so that the control panel of the mostfun Pro can be accessed regardless of the platform or device is being employed.
The body of the 3D printer is light as it is made of aluminium and its compact design fits perfectly on any average work table. The company offers a lifetime warranty for each unit.
