Samsung officially announced today worldwide that the South Korean technology company stops manufacturing the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Samsung points that stops selling and replacing the units of this model with others of the same type around the world.
It is said that Samsung has taken this decision because, some Samsung Galaxy Note 7 replacement units have exploded as it had happened before to the original products.
The exploding defect inside the Galaxy Note 7 and the consequent need to stop production is not a good business for the South Korean tech giant, as this model was considered as one of the keys to face the recently released Apple iPhone 7 and Google Pixel.
This leaving aside the cost of a global recall (the first one was estimated around $2Bn), as wel as the impact in the reputation and market value of the company, that are still to be evaluated.
Beating around the explosions since early September this year
First security alarms were triggered in the USA last September when the battery os Samsung Galaxy Note 7 units exploded.
The technology company proceeded to withdraw the defective units and replacing them with other Samsung Galaxy Note 7 or other model.

In the communication released through Samsung’s global press room the company talks about a temporary suspension of the sale and replacement of defective phones and just about stopping the manufacture while they were carried out the pertinent investigations.

According to thes official statement published today in English the just the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 units are under risk of exploding.
