Sunil Bharti Mittal proposes “killing” roaming prices worldwide

Sunil Bharti Mittal proposed today, as Chairman of the GSMA, that all mobile operators, who are members of the GSMA should get together in order to see the chance to drastically cut or even “kill” international roaming prices worldwide.

“The bill puts our customers mind into disorder…We are truly making the globe connected…there’s no reason for us not to put our minds together to create a situation where the customers can safely use their mobile phones both for calling as well as data anywhere in the world…”

As Chairman of Bharti Airtel, currently the 4th telecom operator worldwide, he announced that his company is to eliminate pay for roaming all over the indian market and establishing very reduced prices with maximun caps for roaming services delivered by Bharti Airtel to Indian nationals travelling abroad.

Sunil Bharti Mittal was elected as Chairman of the GSMA in October last year.
