EHang Announces Partnership with Globalvia to Co-Develop Urban Air Mobility in Iberian Peninsula and Latin America

The Chinese multinational EHang Holdings Limited, a worldwide leading autonomous aerial vehicle (“AAV”) technology platform company, announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with the Spaniard company Globalvia, a world leader in the management of transport infrastructure concessions, on urban air mobility (“UAM”).

Both parties will promote, develop and implement the operation of AAVs to offer UAM solutions, such as passenger transportation and aerial logistics, jointly and efficiently in Iberian Peninsula and Latin America regions.

Victoria Xiang, CEO of EHang Spain & Latin America, said, “The partnership with Globalvia is another milestone for EHang. Together with Globalvia, EHang will make great efforts to bring our safe, autonomous, and eco-friendly air mobility solutions for more people to enjoy a more sustainable, intelligent, efficient, and beautiful life.”

Fernando Vallejo, Head of Innovation and Systems at Globalvia, commented, “The partnership with EHang constitutes a significant step forward and a clear commitment by Globalvia to anticipate and lead Urban Air Mobility projects contributing to innovation, sustainability, and quality of life improvement for citizens.”
Through Openvia, Globalvia’s innovative mobility solutions technological platform, both parties will cooperate in advancing flight tests and demonstrations, trainings and maintenance, regulatory certification and business development to establish a solid foundation for implementing UAM operations.

As a worldwide transport infrastructure concession management leader, Globalvia owns concession rights to operate 27 highways and railways projects servicing over 250 million users a year across seven countries including Spain, the USA, Ireland, Portugal, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Chile.

The deal with Globalvia is the second alliance in a row signed by EHang in Spain this year, following the agreement with the Townhall of Zaragoza, aimed at EHang’s development of projects related to smart cities, aerial mobility AAV and drone delivery systems in the Hera Drone Hub.
Located in Zaragoza, the Hera Drone Hub is the first European urban space suitable for testing, experimentation and training of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
