The luxury automotive company Genesis announced today the appointment of Markus Henne as Chief Executive Officer, Genesis Motor China. He reports to William Lee, Executive Vice President and Global Head of the Genesis Brand.
Henne arrives Genesis from Mercedes-Benz, where he was Vice-President of Sales&Marketing in Taiwan.
The appointment of Henne is framed into the international expansion strategy of the South Korean automotive company, who will carry out its market launch in China as soon as the feasibility studies are completed.
Henne joins Genesis with extensive and varied experience in the luxury automotive industry, mainly focusing on the development of the Mercedes-Benz brand and the high-performance trademark Mercedes-AMG.
Markus Henne was instrumental in rejuvenating the Mercedes-benz brand and substantially increased market share by addressing new target groups. Before that, he was the Head of Mercedes-AMG Greater China, leading all the business fields including the setup of a new sales organization and business model in the PRC. During his tenure the sales volume increased tremendously and the brand was recognized as a credible manufacturer of high performance vehicles in the region, generating a quick growth of awareness and popularity.
