Mercado McCann and TyC Sports Network `turn Trump´s anti migrant arangues true´

Mercado McCann Buenos Aires and the Argentinian TyC Sports Network tv chain keep on their strategy of connecting public dragging personalities to the tv chain’s promos in a creative way.
In the latest Tv and Internet spot for the Network Trump’s words about immigrants are turned into an ironical claim of Latin Power scoring a strong creative message.

The video ends with this sharp text message, presented in Spanish: “In truth, the best that they can do is not let us in.”

The Trump spot and online film, created by Mercado McCann, Buenos Aires promotes TyC Sports’ coverage of this summer’s Copa America Centenario competition to be held in the United States. It is a follow up to their´s Soccer World Cup 2014 campaign with Pope Francis.
Both polemic personalities, although in a very opposite manner, Trump and Pope Francis have one thing in common, they manage to generate with their speeches and behaviors anything but indifference.

Because Trump’s harangues against illegal migrants are “actually true”

The agency takes some of the heaviest anti migrant estatements made by the candidate to the next US presidential elecctions and gives eveidence on how right they are, at least in the football field.

When Trump says “Our country is in serious trouble,” the ad shows the Argentine national soccer team deplaning to delirious and adoring crowds dressed in the team’s white and sky blue colors “La Albiceleste”.

When Trump declares, “These are total killers,” the spot cuts to Angel di Maria, a forward on the Argentine team, scoring a deadly and acrobatic goal.

When Trump says: “These are not the nice, sweet little people that you think,” the TV spot presents global superstar Lionel Messi making a sarcastic face at one of his opponents on the field.

Besides Messi, Argentinian soccer stars that include Sergio Agüero (Manchester City), Javier Pastore (Paris Saint-Germain) and Gonzalo Higuaín (Napoli) are also seen onto a soccer pitch as Trump warns: “We have no protection.”

Most of the footage and Trump’s words were picked directly from Trump’s famous “Wall Speech” in June 2015.

To the precise editing the Agency adds the strong ironical claim that completes the message twist: “In truth, the best that they can do is not let us in.”
