AleXsandro Palombo’s Break the Silence campaign gets viral

From Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner to Miley Cyrus, from Madonna, Angelina Jolie to Winneth Paltrow, the contemporary artist aleXsandro Palombo shares on the social networks his new series of digitally modified photo artworks. This time the celebrity women appear as if they were victims of domestic abuse.

This awareness campaign to fight gender violence against women was published by the artist on his Facebook wall on 23rd November on the occassion of the UN Day against gender violence (from 25th November to 10th December 2015) and got viral almost at once.
The message for the victims is clear: “Break the silence”.

Not the first viral campaign supporting an humanitarian cause

Palombo is well known because of his digital modified photo artworks, but also for some other awareness campaigns.

Among them, the celebrities turned into characters of the popular cartoon series The Simpsons or the Disney Princesses and other girl famous cartoon characters, all of them nude and showing breast surgery. This latest series integrate an awareness campaign on breast cancer.
