Something mean is posted on Twitter every 60 seconds, so this little blue bot called the NiceBot has been been programmed to deliver random niceness every 30 seconds.
The NiceBot is the latest work by Deutsch NY for its pro-bono client Champions Against Bullying (CAB).
A specially designed API makes it possible. NiceBot has been programmed to pair one random nice message with one random Twitter user’s handle. It sends a single message out as an @ reply, and then moves on to the next user on its list.
NiceBot and Deutsch hope to tweet one nice message to every single user of Twitter ( around 200 million to date)
Besides, 3D printed NiceBots have been sent as well several celebrity influencers who have positioned themselves against cyberbullying.
This is also a way to turn mass messaging usually considereded spam in something positive and useful for Twitter users.
