IBM acquires digital agency Aperto

IBM today announced it has completed the acquisition of Aperto , a leading digital agency headquartered in Berlin (Germany). Aperto will join IBM Interactive Experience (IBM iX).

IBM iX is a next-generation services organization dedicated to creating personalized experiences. Services span industry strategy, creative and design, to scalable digital, commerce, mobile and wearable platforms. IBM iX specialists work side-by-side with clients across more than 30 global IBM Studios to co-create innovations that drive results.

The acquisition of Aperto is the latest strategic move to enhance the experience design prowess of IBM iX. The operation follows IBM recently announced plans to acquire Bluewolf, one of Salesforce’s top partners and a globally recognized leader in cloud consulting and implementation services. Earlier this year, IBM iX closed acquisitions of Resource/Ammirati, a US-based digital marketing and creative agency, and ecx.io, a full-service digital agency headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Aperto is a highly regarded digital service provider in Germany and Europe. Its more than 300 employees will join IBM iX, already the largest global digital agency1, to evolve the experiences clients provide to customers and employees. Aperto’s roster of clients currently includes companies such as Airbus Group, Volkswagen and Siemens.
