Dentsu Inc. announced today that its global business headquarters Dentsu Aegis Network Ltd., has acquired Fractal Ink Design Studio Private Limited India’s largest service provider in the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) domain.
In recognition of its innovative design work, Fractal received multiple awards in the IoT category in 2014 and 2015 from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). the agency posted INR 127 million for the fiscal year 2015.
“Today, Dentsu Aegis Network’s digital share in India is three times that of the market average and this will help us continue on our journey of being the leading digital group as well as bring us closer to our mission of being the second largest agency group in India by end 2017, overturning, for the first time, the existing ranking which has historically been in place for over 80 years in India,” Ashish Bhasin (Chairman and CEO Dentsu Aegis Network South Asia) underscored.
This purchase is consistent with Dentsu Group’s plans of accelerating its growth strategy in India with the aim of becoming the second largest agency group in that country by the end of 2017.
Rebranding to Fractal Ink Design Studio – Linked by Isobar and keeping Tanay Kumar
Following the acquisition, Fractal will join the Isobar network, one of the Dentsu Group’s ten global network brands providing services in the digital domain, and be rebranded as “Fractal Ink
Design Studio – Linked by Isobar.” Dentsu Group digital domain services in India are currently provided by Isobar, iProspect, WATConsult and Dentsu Webchutney. The addition of Fractal will expand operations to 1,000 digital experts, forming one of the largest digital teams in the country.
Tanay Kumar, CEO, Co-founder and Creative Director of Fractal, will join the Dentsu Aegis leadership team in India and will report to Ashish Bhasin, Chairman and CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network South Asia. Co-founders Geeta Suthar, Hemant Suthar and Priyanka Agrawal will also continue in their roles as part of the management team.
