This Christmas, PayPal are hosting Turkey Dash in the UK. There are 8 racing animated turkeys, representing 8 UK charities, in a televised Christmas dash for cash. The more you donate, the faster they dash.
People can train their preferred turkey through donations processed by PayPal Giving Fund UK from 28th November (known as Giving Tuesday, the antidote of Black Friday) at https://turkeydash.co.uk/
PayPal Giving Fund UK is a registered not-for-profit organisation that uses technology to help charities find new supporters and raise funds in a safe and secure way. PayPal Giving Fund UK does not charge charities any fees for enrolling or receiving donations, ensuring they receive every single penny, including Gift Aid.
Last Christmas, more than a million people in the UK made a donation to their favourite cause with PayPal.
Save The Children, Blue Cross, Sue Ryder, RNLI, LGBT Foundation, Mental Health Foundation, Royal British Legion and CLIC Sargent will take place at the race under the form of a turkey character designed by Aardman on Channel 4 at 8pm, Friday 15th December during Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast.
Gogglebox star, Scarlett Moffat, has been transformed as well into and animated character in the ad that launches the Turkey Dash.
This PayPal campaign will run nationwide across broadcast, online and social media for two weeks, after which the final donation results will be brought to life in the animated sprint on Channel 4. Turkey Dash will be presented by TV personality Steve Jones and broadcast during Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast on 15th December.
The agency behind the idea is Crispin Porter and Bogusky (CP+B) who has partnered with the reputed animation studio, Aardman, to bring each animated character to life.
