A spotted crow, a chilled owl, a paranoid dove and the megalomaniac squirrel are helping the energy company EnBw selling their green electric tariffs in Germany.
The campaign has been conceived by the agency Jung von Matt Neckar. The agency has teamed up with the production conmpany Sehnsucht to create a funny animation short film where the three birds and the squirrel enjoy the effects of getting a stream “chute” from the green electricity power lines they are sitting on.
The hallucinating effects of sitting on the line are so high that the squirrel even watches a cat flying and throws itself headlong into the air as if could fly like a bird.
The exhilarating film, directed by Hans-Christoph Schultheiss (Director and Creative Lead, Sehsucht Hamburg) is being spread online, through social media and cinemas across Germany.
The agency has designed as well a dedicated site (https://www.enbw.com/wir-machen-das-schon/voegel-auf-strom/) for the campaign. There people can find the film, know why birds sit on the power lines and get to know more in depth the spotted crow, the chilled owl, the paranoid dove and the megalomaniac squirrel. Users can decide which kind of bird they are and share in social networks some funny animated .giff images of the birds and the squirrel through GIPHY. There are also wallpapers for download.
At the end of the site people can find some information on EnBWgreen power tariffs and about clean energy generation by the energy company.
