With almost a 80% of ad revenues comming from Mobile and nearly a 45% yoy increase in the ad income chapter ( $4.299 Bn against the $2.957 in 3rdQ 2014, 66% of total ad revenues), advertisers seem to be strongly betting for a mobile Facebook ad platform.
Those are part results for the 3rdQ 2015 publised by Facebook yesterday in the evening.
Also the year over year increase in mobile MAUs and DAUs, respectively a 23% and a 27% cofirm that “mobilisation” of Facebook showed along the time.
Mbile DAUs were 894 million on average and mobile MAUs were 1.39 Bn as of September 30.
Facebook total MAUs were 1.55Bn as of September 30th 2015 -14% rise- , while DAUs (daily active users) were 1.01Bn showing a 17% year over year rise.
Facebook posted $4.501 total revenues for the 3rdQ 2015, a 41% increse compared to the same period in 204, with total costs and expenses at 3.042Bn, almost a 68% more than in 3rdQ 2014. In fact, company has experienced a year on year reduction of its operating marging from the 44% in 3rdQ 2014 to a 32% in the same period this year.
Commenting on the 3rQ results, Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook founder and CEO) said: “We had a good quarter and got a lot done. We’re focused on innovating and investing for the long term to serve our community and connect the entire world.”
On the innovation chapter Facebook publiahed on 3rd November its latest update telling about its new milestones in the artificial intelligence research field.
Two of them, specially the object detection, and natural language understanding combined with image recognition, seem strongly mobile oriented.
