Volkswagen has signed Nelly Kennedy, currently Senior Global Brand Marketing Director at Google, as Chief Marketing Officer for International Marketing at the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand.
She succeeds Jochen Sengpiehl in this responsibility, as Sengpiehl moves to Volkswagen Group China to become the CMO.
Kennedy will take on her new role at Volkswagen from mid-February 2023.

Over 30 years’ experience in brand marketing
Nelly Kennedy has over 30 years’ experience in the brand marketing field.
Prior to joining Google, she was Director Digital at Condé Nast International and held several senior leading positions in global marketing with the sportswear company Adidas.
Kennedy studied PR at the University of Vienna and also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in International Marketing from the University of California, Berkeley.
