Warc Innovation Awards 2017 open for entries

Warc has just launched its 2017 Innovation Awards. Registration of works is free and the festival is open to all forms of marketing and communications from any country. The deadline to submit entries is 12th January 2017.

The Innovation Awards is an exciting global competition that recognises the role played by innovative thinking in achieving best business results,” says Lucy Aitken, Case Study Editor at Warc.
The one to be held in 2017 is the 5th edition.

Grand Prix for Vodafone’s Red Alarm app in 2016

The 2016 Innovation Awards Grand Prix was won by Bediz Eker and Arif Emre Perçin of Y&R Team Red Istanbul for ‘Between Us’, a campaign for Vodafone Turkey which addressed the issue of domestic violence, and which the judges described as clever, powerful and true innovation.

The phone company strengthened the brand’s position as innovative and reliable by creating a protective smartphone app. The Vodafone Red Alarm enables women to call for help without being noticed, in the moment of violence.
24% of women owning smartphones downloaded the app and Vodafone increased its brand affinity scores 65% for innovation and 79% for reliability.

$10,000 cash prize and showcase in the Warc Innovation Casebook

There’s a $10,000 cash prize fund for the winning papers. Besides, all winning entries will be published and promoted in the Warc Innovation Casebook 2017, Warc’s annual report on the world’s freshest communication ideas.

Actions in market between 1st January 2015 and 11th Januaary 2017

Entrants must submit a case study of marketing innovation that delivered tangible results for a brand.
