Kim Papworth and Karrelle Dixon have been appointed to oversee Wieden + Kenendy’s emerging markets, in new roles as Executive Creative Director, Emerging Markets and Managing Director, Emerging Markets, respectively. Reporting directly into Dave Luhr (Global President of W+K) and Colleen DeCourcy (recently promoted from Global Executive Creative Director to Global Chief Creative Officer), Dixon and Papworth will be headquartered in London but spending time in W+K’s Tokyo, Shanghai and Delhi offices.
As the company approaches its 35th birthday (in April 2017), Luhr and DeCourcy think there’s a need to reshape agency leadership to position W+K successfully for the next 35 years, so that besides the promotion of Papworth and Dixon, 15 new members have been added to the current nine-person partner group that already included them.
