Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam and Milka have trusted in Amelie’s French film maker Jean Pierre Jeunet to direct the first pan European TV ad for the Swiss chocolate brand belonging to Mondelez.
Framed into the “Tenderness is inside” claim the Time Machine (this is the title of the ad) tells the story of a little boy who can’t wait for Christmas.

He manages to build a time machine that is supposed to take him to Christmas day at once. As his family understands what happens to him, they work together to make the boy early Christmas dream come true. The idea behind the ad is that Milka believes there’s no need to wait for Christmas Day to share some special time and Milka bombons with loved ones.
The Time Machine is one of the fables -the one for Christmas- located at Lilaberg the idyllic fictional town at the heart of Milka’s global ‘Tenderness is inside’ brand platform.
No character in the ad says anything with words, just images tell a story with love inside that is able to touch people from any part of the world deep in their hearts.
