The Japan Advertisers Association (JAA) has appointed Masatoshi Ito, Chairman of the Board at Ajinomoto Co., Inc., as the association’s new President.
Ito joined Ajinomoto in 1971 and has since worked in different senior positions. From 2009 to 2015, he served as the Japanese food company’s President and CEO. He is currently Chairman of the Japan Frozen Food Association and President of the Association for the Safety of Imported Food in Japan. Also, he is a trustee and member of the advisory board for several local and international companies.
Shinji Suzuki, former General Manager, Health and Wellness Business Department at Ajinomoto Co., Inc., has been appointed as JAA’s new Senior Executive Director.Suzuki succeeds Tatsuo Fujikawa who has been undertaking this responsibility since 2011.
