These ad formats give people the option to skip an ad if they don’t want to watch it, or else to choose from multiple ads the one they want to watch. Advertisers only pay if the user chooses to watch their ad.
Neal Mohan, Vice President of Product Management and Barry Salzman, Managing Director of Media & Platforms – Americas forecast that by 2015, a 50% of ad campaigns will include video ads bought on a cost-per-view basis, or what is the same, that the user will choose whether to watch the ad or not, and the advertiser will only pay if the user watches.
75% of ads will be social
Google has recently renewed cooperation agreement with Publicis Groupe’s Vivaki Nerve Center to develop new ad formats and purchased in september 2009 Tencent. Both movements favours the evolution and growth of YouTube and its owner, Google (Display Advertising) as a cutting edge digital ad platform.
Google forecasts that Display advertising business will grow to a $50Bn in five years. Today Google’s Display Advertising platform is a $2.5Bn business.
